Chicken & Rice Patties - Wednesday 15th
Health and Safety is staying free from germs, and staying safe from harm, in the kitchen. Health and Safety is important in the food industry, because so many people are eating the food chef's cook, and they need to stay safe and healthy.
- We kept an eye on our food in the oven, and kept time, so it didn't burn.
- We wiped down our table and bench, so we were safe from germs.
- We made sure we used all the correct boards and knifes, especially because we were dealing with raw chicken.
What surprised me about myself during the practical, was that I get distracted really easy, but when I engage I work well. If I could change anything about the experience, I would use more cooking spray, because after we had cooked, the chicken and rice was stuck to the tray, and we had to spend 20 minutes cleaning it.
